Teman Tapi Mesra...

I had a lovely weekends.

I baked cookies on Friday night and slept at 5am!!

Saturday
Ali woke up very early to send MWF to the service center. He was there before they even opened. But as early as he was, there was always someone earlier. But he managed to send WMF for a wash and came home at 10.30am. I spent the morning reading 'The Other Woman'..

Review: Another great piece from Jane Green. Haven't finished reading them yet. I know the worst is yet to come for Ellie and Dan. But, I was sooo touched when I read the part when Ellie's dad was giving a toast and a speech on her wedding day. I shed a tear or too, soo touching...

Ok, back to the weekend's activity. I was invited for a party (housewarming/baby shower/ bday) at Bess's house. So was thinking a lot on what to give for her or her baby. Hmm.. thought of giving a vanity set for
her from L'occitane but then, something for her baby would be nice as well. After thinking here and there, I decided to get something for her baby-lah. I was looking for an Avent starter set, but then, it is out of stock. So the nice lady at FFY suggested that I make my own starter set. So we set out for 2 250ml bottles, 3 125ml bottles, a brush and an insualated bottle warmer. They wrapped 'em FOC for me (of courselah, after all that I spent there). Bess's party started at 3pm but I figured that I came fashionably late and be the last to leave. After all, we are like a family to each other already. ha! ha!

So we killed the time and visited Ikea plak. Last time, we only get a bedframe for Narnia, the mattress was out of stock (confused, coz the mattress can only fit that Ikea bed). Anyways, we came out of Ikea buying more than just a mattress. Sent the mattress home and waited for Emi. Emi was around the neighborhood to get her new Vios
tinted, albeit a bit dark. Then we're off to Bess's house. Bess, looking more vulnerable than usual, managed to cook some pasta and the rest was prepared by her Mama and baby sister. Funny how most of Bess's guests were pregnant mothers!!! We left Bess's house after Maghrib, with full stomach!! Siap tapau lagik...

SUNDAY
Mopped the house, managing Narnia's never ending question and read...Think I got a well rested Sunday. :))

Have a good one folks.

Rise and Fall....

Just a random notes on everything and nothing:

1) Jojo will be flying to US (MSU, specifically) for a 1 1/2 weeks course. So kat office cam ade mini celebration- with free breakfast courtesy of RCM unit (spagetti, roti jala, rendang, sambal, kuih), burning up the aromatheraphy oil (yes, the ladies do that every fri it seems, satu floor is aromatheraphically (if there's such a word) scented), clocking in 5 minutes before 8.45am, doing work at a tad slower pace than before, everybody is smiling, no screaming or shouting heard so far. You know, the drill if boss is not around. But this morning, the PA got an earful from Jojo for failing to pick up EVP's phone call. Weyy, he purposedly call at 8ish in the morning, sapa nak pick up??? Saje je carik pasal. I have been here for 2 months, but I have witnessed 3-4 'teary eyed' incidents ok. Such a stressful and painful working environment we got here.

2) Some
housewarming/baby shower/bday celebration at Bess's pad in Bkt Bdraya tomorrow at 3pm. Can't wait to see Bess entering her 7 months preggie. She's due in June...Errr Bess, what's the menu? Are you hiring caterers? Please do not tell me you'll be cooking!

3) Getting a haircut today MINUS the designer's skill, unlike as plan before. Apparently, the budget that I have, went for something else, so I have to settle for just a regular RM25-30 haircut, wash and blow. Oklah, beggars can't be choosers right.

4) Send WMF for service. I make an appointment at 4pm tomorrow since they are fully booked. BUT, at 4pm tomorrow, I am expected to be at Bess's house. Hmmm, if I want to do it earlier, I have to get Ali to be in queue at 8 freakin am, and literally wait in front of the service center's gate. Think I have to talk Ali to do it in the morning lah.. or else, we have to leave WMF at the center, go to Bess's house
and get home before the center closes at 5.30pm.

5) Baked cookies tonight. And therefore, gotta have my dose of Rhumba afterwork today. Oh, have I told you all that I am close to become a Rhumba addict, until I realized that I have been spending RM13+ a day for a top of the range coffee? It is sooooooooooooooooooooo not good for my wallet. For RM13+ Rhumba a day I can have a decent RM1 nasik lemak for breakfast+RM4.50 parking+RM5 lunch (complete with nasi, lauk, drink)+RM1 toll. See, how expensive those designer's coffee is? So now I managed to stop myself and control my craving for Rhumba. Only to have it occasionally. Ok, for the record, I HAVE to bake the dem cookies tonight as I'm planning to spend the rest of my weekend reading books. Just received 'The Other Woman' from Lara yesterday. Woohooo...

6) I got myself hooked unintentionally on "My Lovely Sam Soon". It's aired Mon-Fri 8.30pm on 8tv. It is such a
cute, sweet and funny (like Korean version of Bridget Jones or other chic lit character) that I have to see it everyday now. Go and try to watch it, Sam Soon is soo real and funny!

Ok have a nice day peeps. Enjoy yr weekend!

Time Of Your Life...

Arghhh!! Monday.... But I had a good weekend though. It even started on Fri where Lara and I resumed our usual lunch date in Malindo. I can't believe that Lara is actually working soooo near me, like we can always do this, every Friday!! So kewl!!

Saturday
Remember I wrote before that I'm planning to visit Border? Yeah, I indeed I did. There are always some promotion running in Border (like Buy 3 for a price of 2, or buy 3 for a price of 4) kewl kan? So I went in, and became juling mata already with the offer. Since I have been waiting this for so long (I can't actually buy them eventhough with new salary before as I have to pay for other priority), it's payback time!!! I actually, hmm... bought.. 5 books!! My personal record!! Dendam kesumat nih. I can't even bought one previously. 4 chic lits (notably by Lauren Weinberger-Everyone Worth Knowing, a collaboration of 4 writers, including Cecilia Ahern called The Ladies Night and another
2 that I can't remember, but famous nontheless) and 1 from my ever fav author-Sidney Sheldon's Are you Afraid of the Dark?. Now I am finishing Everyone Worth Knowing but haven't decided what's next. With Border's buy 3 for a price of 2 promotion, all 5 books cost less that RM140. No kidding!! Am heppii!!!!! I did the purchase, while Yan attended to Narnia. :))

After Border, I thought I am done shopping since, RM140, eventhough a fraction had done a lot of damage to my wallet already. But noooo... suddenly we found ourselves 'trapped' in the L'occitane outlet. Yan was trying out their hair care products and cream so I menyibuk along. We walked out of L'occitane with a membership card, Yan's loot consist of a foot cream, a shampoo, a conditioner and sheer butter cream. While I got a shea butter cream, a hand cream and a SOAP for myself. DON'T ask me WHY do I need the soap for since I am basically allergic to bath soap, but the devil has got the better of
me, and I bought it! But it is nice though. Yeah, for a ridiculous price I paid for a bar of L'occitane soup, I have to say it's nicelah kan. But IT IS nice. hehehhee!!! *roll eyes*. And I have yet to experience any allergic effects from the soap. We'll see.. We picked up Yan's laundry at Ikano and dashed out of it as quickly as we can before any more self destructive moves happen.

I cooked nasik ayam for dinner and spent the rest of the night reading. Havenly....

SUNDAY
Still reading, while struggling to finish up folding the clothes. We had yummy briyani for lunch at Rest I*mail, TTDI. Resumed reading the books after that, only to stop for bath, solat, dinner and Oprah until 1am in the morning. Now I can't wait to go home and read moree......

The Flower Power 'Continued' Chronicles belongs to Nong Ali, who soon will be out of Hampeh Org. Married to Ali the spaceboy, love him ultimately tho. Gave birth to Hannah Aifa in October 2003 and found out that motherhood is not bad after all but having to juggle between being wife, mother, daughter and friend is a complete nightmare. I am content with my life right now but any chances for the betterment will be quickly grabbed.
